Production process

The production process consists of four stages:

Base material
Each process starts with the base material. This is the backing material for our products; paper for making photographic paper, and aluminium, the backing for offset plates.

Emulsions
Emulsions make the base materials photosensitive. Clean water, gelatine and silver halide are the most important ingredients. Different emulsions determine the properties of the product.

Coating
The backing materials for photographic paper are made photosensitive in the dark. Aluminium is first roughened so that the emulsion will adhere to it; multigraining. It is then coated and cut into master sheets. The process takes place in a dim light environment, because the product is photosensitive after coating (yellow or red light).

Final processing
After the coating process, the products are packed in light-proof packaging. The products are then ready for distribution.
