Production process

The production process for photo paper and offset plates comprises four phases.

The basic material
Each process begins with the basic material. Paper for the production of photo paper. And aluminium is the basis for offset plates.

Emulsions
Emulsions render the carriers light-sensitive. The various compositions of emulsions determine the characteristics of the product.

Coating
Aluminium is first roughened to ensure good moisture transportation during printing. The production line then applies a number of coating layers and cuts the product into large sheets. This process takes place in low-lighting conditions, because the product is light-sensitive following coating. This takes place in yellow or red light, for offset plates. When coating photo paper, there is no light at all.

Final processing
Following the coating process, the products are cut to the correct size and then packaged light-free. The product is then ready for distribution.
